We have been implementing the new paddle models for the traditional German brand Lettman from Moers since 2013. Lettmann has been a leader in the development of canoeing paddles for over 50 years. Many Olympic and World Champion titles can be traced back to the progressive and innovative paddle concepts. The secret of success lies, among other things, in the modern development of molding tools.
Build bridges
Since the company was handed over to the second generation of the family, there has been a trend towards significantly more durable and complex forming tools that can only be produced using a CNC process. PROJEKTER INDUSTRIAL DESIGN makes the transition from the formerly purely manual production of molds and molding tools to digital implementation. With our know-how in the areas of laminating technology, mold making and digital tool design, we support Lettmann in process acceleration and quality assurance.
Development of molding tools
Processing by PROJEKTER INDUSTRIAL DESIGN comprises a development process: from structural consultation of the components, to the joint design and analysis of strengths and static shape details, to the CAD implementation of raw and tool parts. The infusion and preglaminate forms are produced by us in close cooperation with Lettmann using either Rhinoceros 3D or SolidWorks.
The result
Since PROJEKTER INDUSTRIAL DESIGN joined in 2013, in addition to various popular sports and competition paddles (Speed, Multiwave, Ergonom WW- and Pro, Dragon, TyWarp), many other products such as whitewater kayaks and kayak accessories have been developed.
