From innovative product to innovative corporate culture with design thinking
We are always happy to be able to share our knowledge and share our everyday working methods with others. We regularly offer workshops on various topics.

Concentrated knowledge
As a design office for innovation and product development, we are very familiar with methodological approaches to complex problems from various areas of life. In cooperation with the Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW) Duisburg and Essen process designer Alexandra Schollmeier, we developed a tailor-made event with the title “From Innovative Product to Innovative Corporate Culture with Design Thinking.”
Alexandra Schollmeier is a systemic coach and helps companies to design new work processes and create clear structures and efficient communication processes. We were able to recruit her as a speaker for our event.

Many roads lead to Rome
Strategic creative methods are our daily business and offer assistance with innovative services, products and solutions.
Design thinking as a creative method places the user and their needs at the center of work.
Observation and analysis are essential cornerstones of the design thinking process. Developed solutions are transferred to other areas or topics in iterative work phases. The user's needs and problems are precisely identified.
It is important to critically question one's own views, entrenched ideas and prejudices and, if necessary, to reject them. This is how you approach your destination in small steps and with fixed intermediate stops. Today, we are surrounded by countless difficult to grasp problems as well as complex questions and models whose solutions can never be designed universally for a wide range of participants.
Design thinking is not a silver bullet that guarantees innovation and inventiveness, but it can be a method of making processes more efficient. Here, openness to results is combined with finding solutions. The focus is always on benefits for users or customers.
Design thinking methods are not new in product development and are used on a daily basis. The workshop was aimed at managers from various areas. The methods can be applied to a wide variety of problems. In corporate management in particular, it is necessary to think outside the box. And it is also helpful within teams to break new ground in order to be successful in the long term.

The workshop
The event began with two presentations, which showed participants the possibilities and benefits of the methodology. This involved not only product-related problems, but also complex issues of corporate management and corporate culture.
Team building methods were then tried out in a playful way and practical design thinking exercises were used as examples. In an open discussion round, the problems of corporate structures and the tasks of managers were summarized. It was also discussed how working environments have changed and will continue to change today and how design thinking is actually being used in everyday life.
The participants took advantage of the cozy end of the event to exchange ideas about exercises, new experiences and insights.
