As part of our collaboration with the interior design office Oliver Faber, we designed a table made of Corian® on behalf of a customer. On the one hand, our design supports the timeless interior design of the private area of the residential building. On the other hand, it visualizes the overall function of the table. The visually one-piece, seamless construction gives a monolithic impression without appearing heavy — yet sturdy.
The functionality
The integrated serving bowls can be removed. They can serve everything from decoration, snacks and fruit to sauces or dips. Thanks to their three-part structure, they can be washed in the dishwasher.
Following the customer order, the product was optimised for production in larger quantities in consultation with a large Corian® processor.
The result is an even more simplified design that dispenses with any connecting parts made of other materials. Only Corian® is used.

Why a Corian® table?
Corian® is a breakthrough innovation from DuPont, is constantly evolving and never ceasing to inspire. In worldwide collaboration with designers, architects, artists, planners and fabricators, DuPont is creating creative highlights with this extremely versatile material.
The acrylic-bonded solid material is used both in residential and commercial sectors — from the hotel and restaurant industry to healthcare to shop and ship construction.
Corian is considered to be particularly hygienic, durable, stain-resistant and largely acid-resistant. Moisture cannot harm the material, which is why it is preferred to use in bathrooms and medical facilities. Due to the pore-free surface, bacteria can barely penetrate the material.
