Eurobike 2019 news
Eurobike in Friedrichshafen is the leading global trade fair for the bicycle industry. More than 1400 international exhibitors presented their innovations to around 60000 (trade) visitors. From visionary start-ups to market leaders, everything that makes a biker's heart beat faster was represented.
Bicycle frames made from 3D printers, heavy-duty bikes, bicycle helmets with integrated brake lights and grills for bicycle handlebars were on display, as were conventional racing machines powered by muscle power.

E-mobility and two-wheelers
Special attention has been paid to e-bikes for several years. These have become an integral part of the bicycle market. Of 75 million German bicycles, 4.5 million are already motorized. And that is with an increasing tendency.
Whether gearshift, navigation, anti-theft device, drive, lighting: The bike is electrified.

PROJEKTER Industrial Design and BIONICON
PROJEKTER INDUSTRIAL DESIGN has been working with bicycle manufacturer BIONICON on the motorization of e-mountain bikes since 2014. The innovative e-ram concept with mid-motor and battery backpack gave the start of a new era of mobility 5 years ago.
That BIONICON ENGINE Is a powerful, full-suspension trail or enduro bike designed for tough mountain use. We were involved in development early on in order to give the ENGINE the necessary expressiveness graphically. The design fits seamlessly into the Bavarian bike manufacturer's product range and is at the cutting edge.
The BIONICON BOGAN gravel bike, which was presented for the first time at Eurobike 2019, is just as up-to-date. Here too, PROJEKTER INDUSTRIAL DESIGN is responsible for the appearance of the bicycle frame.
The aim of this new type of bicycle is to equip a racing bike with the genes of an all-terrain bike so that it can travel on unpaved roads as well as normal roads. “It can be your fastest mountain bike right now and your robust asphalt tractor the next” (quote: BIONICON).

PROJEKTER INDUSTRIAL DESIGN has been deeply rooted in the bike business for several years.
Privately as well as for business. Whether it's a Dutch bike, a racing bike, an enduro or a retro bike: Most employees are cyclists with a heart who constantly accelerate.
