But what exactly is a birthing bed? A bed, a chair, or both, or something completely different?
In order to be able to guarantee this, a birthing bed must allow just as many positions. A true quick-change artist is therefore required.
The medical sector places special demands on the design of products. Hygiene, resilience, safety and application orientation are the focus of the design.
Die Anforderungen:
- highest security
- static/mechanical resilience
- optimal hygiene
- Comfort for patient and staff
- easy handling
- feel-good atmosphere
- Compatibility with medical device standards
- Storage space for accessories
- compact dimensions
Gestalterisch eine große Aufgabe
The aesthetics of the redesign blends easily into a modern clinical environment. The tidy / clean look was achieved, among other things, through new mechanical solutions such as telescopic height adjustment. Brackets and similar accessories can be stowed in the chassis or under the headboard.
The result of our work is impressive. Despite the extensive catalog of requirements, a coherent overall concept was created. Regardless of whether the bed is used as a lying surface, chair or stool - it always looks as if it is made of one piece. A consistent distribution of color and material as well as lines make this possible.
